We've redirected a large part of our business to charitable causes. Aside from our mask efforts, 25% of all our profits go to support charities we care about, both local and global – from monthly donations of food/supplies for shelters and food banks near us, to contributions to organizations funding cancer research.
Since April 2020, we have donated almost $5000 worth of food and cleaning supplies to the following organizations:
-
Hope House Shelter - a family emergency shelter for women and children, housing 50 people.
-
St. Lucy’s Emergency Shelter - houses over 80 people and geared towards single individuals.
-
Hoboken Shelter - houses 50 people and feeds over 300 people daily.
-
St. Matthew Trinity Lutheran Church - operates a Lunchtime Ministry that feeds around 65 people 4 days a week.
-
Grace Community Service - while the senior center is closed, they provide breakfast every weekend to feed those in need.
This monthly effort would not have been possible without the help/donation from the Vietnamese Jersey City (VNJC) group. It's truly amazing what we can do as a small group and I'm so appreciative for everyone's eagerness to support a good cause. Thank you Toan, Nhung, Giang, Tan, Kieu Anh, Bambi + Family, Linh, Hannah, and Van.
